Mark 9:24 is one of the most honest moments in the Gospels. A father brings his son to Jesus and says: if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. Jesus says all things are possible for one who believes. The father doesn’t perform certainty he doesn’t have. He says: I believe; help my unbelief.
Both things in the same breath. The belief and the not-belief. Jesus healed the boy. The prayer from inside the doubt was received.
You are here. You are still showing up. That is not nothing. The person whose faith is entirely gone doesn’t come looking for a prayer. The fact that you’re reading this is itself something to bring.
